I don't doubt that at all. It's the funny thing about lo — ( ... she sighs. better to follow through on what she's saying than course correct to 'caring.' ) — loving people, no matter how tough they are.

You mean dad. You worry about him.

( doesn't matter that he's a powerful kryptonian who can smash through buildings and fly through the sky. he knows his mom always worries about him. )

( it's complicated stuff, and comes down to a lot more than biological differences. how much Jon takes after Clark is something she doesn't inherently know, but she can see more of herself than she expected to in how he acts too. which is weird. everything is weird. weird, but not bad, even a little. )

I'm guessing a lot of that has to do with Lex Luthor here.

( because he knows that name has always been one heavily entwined in his both his father and his mother's lives. )

( She laughs a little, because she knows that sounds like a blatant contradiction when she and Clark had both been insistent that Jon not go after Luthor alone. It's still true. )

Am I worried about what would happen if Lex Luthor got his hands on kryptonite and came after both of you this time, not just your dad? Sure. But we can know that's coming, or at least possible. It's scary because I don't want to see either of you hurt, but it's not the biggest or only reason I worry. Jon, if Luthor left tomorrow, I'd still worry about you.

So you want me to check this farm out?

If it sounds like something you'd have fun helping out with, yeah. It doesn't sound like something Accelerator knows as much about beyond it being a place that puts kids first.

Well I do know a thing or two about farm life.

( sounding a little amused. she doubts clark's parents weren't involved in their collective lives, which means kansas and the farm and... whatever living setup they all have. like she even knows. )

Heh. I guess I would be. Robin sure doesn't know much about how to care for farm animals.

We all have different skills. He can take on... well, what would you recommend he take on instead of animal husbandry?

You mean at the farm or in general?

( She's been on his grandparent's farm exactly once, and it was to bring his heavily sickened father there, so who. Knows. What one does on farms in reality versus general conception? )

You know, we actually have a farm back home. Well... we moved to the city recently, but. I liked the farm.

Huh. Out in Kansas?

[solarson]

Yeah, in Smallville. I liked it there.

[thisisontherecord]

Yeah, it sure seemed like a nice little community.

( Based 100% on everything she saw on Clark's walls. School age stuff, but that's... what would be relevant to a kid his age. )
