( jon's father is easier to handle. he's less - elusive. secretive, doesn't hide as much as damian's own father does. there are benefits to both sorts, he supposes, although damian wouldn't have any idea what to do with him if he had clark as a father. he's a soft man, and much too good for the world around them. much like jon himself is.

( to which he quickly — but quietly — darts his way over to his desk and rummages around through one of his drawers looking for... hah! got it! small light in hand, quiet footsteps take him back over to his friend and, like before, he crouches down, revealing the light in hand with a grin. )

( holding the light over damian's bracelet, it's a black light he has and, in shining it over the other's bracelet, he reveals the word best written on it. making sure damian gets a good look at it before it disappears when he pulls the light away, he shines it over his own bracelet — in reds, blues, and yellows naturally — and reveals the word friends written on it. he smiles, so proud of himself and how clever it is before he's looking back to damian, blue eyes pleased and hopeful. )
he isn't exactly expecting jon to pull out a black light, but it's - he's being jon and it's not bothersome to damian. he keeps his wrist held up long enough for jon to show him the secret hidden in plain sight. when jon moves his attention to his own wrist, damian drops his down so he can focus on jon's bracelet. )
